Commission OKs Centrus Federal Credit Union site plan, forwards to council

The Bellevue Planning Commission on March 26, 2026 approved a site-plan application for a new Centrus Federal Credit Union branch on Lot 1 of Tregaron Town Central Replat 8 and forwarded the application to the Bellevue City Council for a public hearing on April 21, 2026.

Planning staff told the commission that the site plan request (case Z-2602-02) met preliminary requirements for grading, drainage, landscaping, setbacks, access and parking and that a bank branch is a permitted use in the site’s BG zoning. Staff recommended approval based on conformance with the comprehensive plan, zoning ordinance and subdivision regulations.

Blake Weatherly of Olson, the project civil engineer, represented the applicant and said he was available to answer questions. "I'll just be here for any questions you guys might have," Weatherly told the commission.

No members of the public offered testimony during the hearing. A commissioner asked whether the PCO overlay required a new site-plan review; staff replied that the PCO overlay does require site-plan approval and that the original site plan approval for the area was about 25 years old, making an updated plan appropriate.

Commissioner Yoder moved to approve the site plan based on conformance with applicable codes and the comprehensive plan and a lack of perceived negative impact on the surrounding area; Commissioner Bennett seconded. The motion carried on a unanimous vote. The commission noted the item will be scheduled for a City Council public hearing on April 21, 2026.

Next steps: the City Council will review the site plan at its April 21, 2026 public hearing.
