Riverside Township trustees on March 10 approved a special-use permit for a Harvest Bingo event scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 3, and agreed to waive facility fees for a linked Riverside Library request, provided the library supplies the standard insurance and deposit.
Trustee Hollandbach moved to approve the special-use permit and to waive all fees except the refundable deposit; Trustee Navaro seconded. The motion passed on a roll-call vote with Trustee Navaro, Trustee Highland, Trustee Clark and the Supervisor recorded as voting yes.
Board members clarified that the Harvest Bingo would be a BYOB event held inside the building and that required insurance and deposits must be provided before the waiver is finalized. The clerk confirmed the waivers are subject to the township’s usual insurance requirements and deposit policy.
The board did not amend policy around alcohol at events; the action permits the single event pending proof of insurance. No public opposition was recorded on the permit request during the meeting.
Trustees also approved a $200 advertisement for the Riverside Township Lions Club chicken‑dinner placemat, with the board taking four business‑card spaces; that motion passed on roll-call.
