Warren County parks roll out new outreach materials and modest rental‑fee increases; facility superintendent honored

The Warren County Parks Department on March 26 presented updated outreach materials — including an information guide, parks fact sheet and walking‑trail brochure — intended for community partners and prospective local businesses, and proposed modest increases to facility rental fees for fiscal year 2026–27.

Brady, introduced by parks staff, told the Fiscal Court the new materials are designed to be shareable with partners such as the Chamber of Commerce and the Convention and Visitors Bureau and to make it easier for prospective businesses and residents to learn about parks amenities. "We've updated some of our documentation with the parks department," Brady said, adding the packet includes mission and contact information as well as maps and program listings.

Jade presented recommended fee adjustments that she described as a restoration toward pre‑COVID pricing while remaining competitive. "These are our recommended changes for this coming fiscal year," she said, citing examples including a $5 hourly increase for basketball and volleyball courts and raising meeting‑room rates from $15 to $20 per hour. Jade said the changes keep county rates accessible compared with regional peers.

The court approved the parks' recommended FY2026–27 rental fee schedule, effective July 1, 2026, following the presentation.

The session also included recognition of Joseph Got, who was identified as the parks facility superintendent for nine years. Chris, speaking for the department, reviewed Got's contributions to facility operations, staff training and program delivery and presented him a plaque. Officials invited photos and thanked Got for his service.

What happens next: The parks department will distribute the new outreach materials to community partners and implement the approved rental fee schedule beginning July 1, 2026.
