At the March 10 Charles County Board of Education recap, board members asked the superintendent about a report that an individual affiliated with Lifetouch had been named in the Epstein files.
Superintendent Navarro told the board the individual is no longer affiliated with Lifetouch and had no known access to district data files. He also noted the district's contract with Lifetouch is scheduled for renegotiation at the end of the year.
Staff reminded parents that they may opt out of having their child’s photo taken and that, if photos have been taken by Lifetouch, the data belongs to the parents and is not shared beyond the school system and the parents. Parents may request permanent deletion of their child’s photos directly from the Lifetouch website.
No formal contract action was taken during the recap; staff said the contract's renegotiation will be addressed later this year as scheduled.
