On a motion and second the court approved the amended motion to withhold payment of general-fund items and to pay road, jail and the '06 fund. The voice vote carried; no roll-call tallies were recorded in the minutes.
Separately, a magistrate asked staff and the county attorney to facilitate returning about $3 million previously paid to the sanitation district, saying the paperwork and attorney approvals may already be complete and urging prompt action so the funds are not lost to timing constraints. The county attorney agreed to follow up and said the item could appear on an upcoming agenda for formal action.
