Fosco and CHSSC (Community Health & Senior Services Commission) members outlined practical next steps: maintain existing site leases and partnerships, promote the hub as a single point of information, continue cross-promotion with providers, and explore a volunteer coordination program. Former CHSSC chair Eleanor Yik urged the council to secure ongoing funding for a dedicated senior-services coordinator beyond the current grant-supported term, arguing the position has demonstrably improved oversight and outreach.
Council action: The council unanimously approved the report and the next-step recommendations, asking staff to continue implementation and to pursue potential ongoing funding sources (including county grants and philanthropic support) to sustain coordinator work.
