Los Altos launches general plan update, invites residents to take survey

City general plans set long-range goals for land use, housing, transportation and other policy areas; updating that plan provides an opportunity to revisit those goals and the city’s priorities. The planner encouraged residents to take the available survey as an early way to share input and priorities.
Officials did not specify a timeline for draft release, public hearings, or any formal vote in the recorded remarks; the announcement focused on outreach and inviting participation. “We’re just getting started,” Britney said, summarizing the initial phase of the process.
