A staff presentation (Angelie) introduced an ordinance to amend Campbell Municipal Code section 2.04.050 so the mayor may make council committee appointments at the start of the mayor's term and at other times the mayor deems necessary rather than only once per year.
Staff explained the change offers flexibility to appoint substitutes or reassess committee assignments as circumstances require without waiting for an annual appointment cycle. The public hearing was opened and no members of the public spoke on the item.
Council voted to introduce and hold first reading, and the city clerk read the ordinance title into the record.
