The Portola Valley Trails Committee voted preliminarily to set the town Horsefair for May 16 and completed its annual officer elections, choosing Gary as chair, Patty as vice chair and Joe as secretary.
Committee members took a roll-call preliminary vote on the Horsefair date after noting that a health-committee approval and an application would still be required. The Chair called for a roll call on the date and recorded unanimous support from members present. "All right. Uh, so yeah, we're good with that date," the Chair said after the roll call.
Later in the meeting, with the current chair stepping down, members nominated Gary for chair; the nomination was seconded and passed by roll call. Gary accepted the role. Patty was nominated and seconded for vice chair and was confirmed; Joe was nominated and confirmed as secretary. Members expressed appreciation for outgoing chair Fred’s leadership before adjourning.
The committee also reviewed and approved minutes for September, October and November with minor edits (a typo and a clarification about timing for a town hike) during the old business portion of the meeting.
