The City of Needles ratified a tentative agreement reached in August 2025 with Teamsters Local 1932 covering classified and unclassified units for a three‑year term (July 1, 2025–June 30, 2028). The agreement provides compensation increases of 3% in year one and 2.5% in years two and three, with a 1% lump sum payment tied to general fund tax revenues that exceed a $500,000 budgeted threshold.
City Manager Patrick Martinez told council the units ratified the tentative agreement overwhelmingly and that reserves are sufficient to cover the first‑year cost. Council then appropriated $214,591 from city reserves to the relevant funds to implement year‑one salary adjustments and costs.
Both the ratification and the appropriation passed by roll call vote with all members voting yes.
