Council approves CivicPlus amendment to add ClickFix and CivicRec for resident service requests and park reservations

City staff presented and the Wildomar City Council unanimously approved an amendment to the city’s CivicPlus agreement that adds two vendor modules: ClickFix, a public service‑request and tracking tool, and CivicRec, a parks and recreation reservations platform.

Jason, a city staff presenter, described ClickFix as a resident‑facing tool that lets users submit photos, map locations and create service tickets for issues such as potholes, trees or illegal dumping. On the administrative side, staff will see requests on a map, communicate directly with requestors in the system and track field time and material use for maintenance and insurance claims. Daniel, who continued the presentation, said CivicRec will consolidate reservations, facility availability and vendor document uploads into one portal, allowing online payment and reducing manual processing for staff.

Council members asked how the new system will handle non‑smartphone users and overlap with the city’s existing code‑enforcement platform. Staff replied that the city will maintain phone and counter options, will tailor categories during implementation so code‑enforcement matters remain with the code system, and expects a roughly six‑month rollout to full operation. Staff also said the system will improve status reporting so residents see whether a ticket is dispatched or truly completed.

After questions and no public comment, the council moved and seconded approval of item 1.8; the motion carried 5–0.
