The Measure AA Oversight Advisory Committee on Feb. 26 received the second-quarter FY25-26 financial report showing roughly $2.7 million in revenue to date, about $1.5 million in expenditures and a current fund balance of approximately $1.4 million, Finance Manager Adam Jansen said.
Jansen told the committee that about $2.5 million of the revenue came from the city’s 1% sales tax and that sales-tax remittances from the California Department of Tax and Fee Administration typically run about two months behind. "Thus far we've received about 2.7 million in revenue of which 2.5 is from the 1% sales tax," he said. Based on current trends, Jansen said the city may exceed its budgeted $5.8 million sales-tax projection this fiscal year and come in closer to $6 million.
