The council on Wednesday adopted ordinance 1094, which amends various sections of the Larksburg Municipal Code to clarify definitions and modify the fire resale report requirement for certain housing types.
Staff presented the ordinance with amendments requested at an earlier meeting, including added definitions for "townhouse" and "condo" and a specific acceptance of those building types from the requirement to receive the resale/fire report. Chief Martin was available to answer technical questions. The council opened the public hearing, received no public comment, and then moved and seconded adoption; the ordinance passed unanimously.
The adoption follows prior council direction to clarify how the resale/fire report requirement would apply to multimember dwelling types and is intended to reduce unnecessary duplicative reporting for townhouses and condominiums.
What happens next: The ordinance amendments will take effect per the city’s adoption rules; staff indicated no additional immediate action was required.
