Resident raises alarm about garage gate codes found written on buildings

"If you aren't familiar with this issue, I ask you to go to WeHo online," Hullman said, urging the commission to set a firm deadline for distributing a formal safety bulletin to property managers, owners and HOAs and to confirm whether Athens — the contractor named during public comment — will remove posted codes citywide. Hullman emphasized the physical-safety consequences for residents and asked the commission to press for an expedited response.
Commissioners acknowledged the concern and asked staff to follow up with departments and relevant contractors to determine whether a city safety notice or other remediation steps are appropriate. Staff indicated they would consult with appropriate departments and report back.
