The San Dimas City Council on July 22 approved a downtown parking-management plan designed to protect municipal parking near the new Gold Line rail station and to preserve spaces for nearby businesses and residents.
Sherry Garwick, the city’s director of public works, told the council staff recommends a phased approach that focuses first on streets closest to the station. Phase one covers the area south of Bonita Avenue and includes four-hour time limits on portions of Bonita Avenue and other nearby streets, two-hour restrictions in select municipal lots, and a proposed Permit Parking District E that would exempt district permit holders…
