"This is a monumental change and a very very positive move forward for our city," the city manager said, adding that the system will give the administration and council greater visibility into contract and legal work.
Council members voted to approve the contract; the motion was announced as carried. City staff said the platform will be implemented by the administration with routine procurement oversight and implementation steps handled by the relevant departments.
The council did not provide a line-by-line funding source of the contract in the public discussion; staff indicated appropriations would be subject to annual budget processes and noted the agreement is renewable subject to future budget approvals.
