309 College Avenue team reports signage work and demolition timing as planning review continues

At the May 8 Project Review Committee meeting, applicants for 309 College Avenue provided a status update on the project’s remaining items. The team said they have been refining signage details and planning improvements between buildings since the last planning board meeting. Staff planner Sam Quinn Jacobs said the only section still highlighted from the April 28 submission was the signage-related portion.
Charlie Mack (as introduced during the meeting) told the committee the applicants are motivated to keep the schedule and, if possible, "get it down in July before kids come back," referring to demolition of the existing fire station. The applicants asked for feedback on remaining design items and said they would return with finalized signage and details to the full board at the end of the month.
Max Bedford, committee chair, and staff confirmed they expect the applicants to return with an updated submission, and that staff will review the refined materials before the full board meeting. No formal determinations or votes were taken at this session.
