Lodi mayor proclaims Arbor Day; Tree Lodi honored and city highlights school-support grants

The council heard an extended presentation from Love Lodi leaders and school principals about the adopt-a-school program. Principals Christine Alberg (Lawrence Elementary) and Jamie Moso (Heritage Elementary) described how Love Lodi’s volunteers and donations—backpacks, house shirts, landscaping, signage and family events—have supported Title I campuses, increased family engagement, and removed barriers to participation for students.
Staff and speakers encouraged residents to attend Love Lodi events and the Arbor Day planting; organizers said dozens to a couple of hundred volunteers typically participate in citywide spring projects. No formal council action was required for the presentations, which were ceremonial and informational.
