The Bentonville School District Board voted to approve a guaranteed maximum price of $1,277,010 for replacing chillers at Lincoln Junior High, the Aaron Arts Center and Bentonville West.
Facilities presenter Mike Velicette described the project as part of the district's 10-year facility master plan and said the work will be scheduled for the summer to minimize disruption. "What I'm bringing for you tonight for approval is trying to knock one off of our 10-year facility master plan ... chiller replacements ... we had a guaranteed maximum price of 1,277,010," Velicette said.
Board members confirmed funding would come from the building fund. Velicette noted one site, Lincoln Junior High, has a chiller over 40 years old. The board approved the project as item 9A by unanimous vote; the motion to approve was made and seconded and Becky Guthrie called the roll.
The district will proceed with vendor scheduling and site coordination for a summer replacement window.
