The Carroll County Board of County Commissioners approved and signed a comment letter to the City of Westminster on Annexation No. 72 (Padmmy LLC) after Planning & Zoning staff described the petition for annexation.
Planning staff presented the annexation request for property at 10 Sullivan Road in the third commissioner district, describing a total annexation area of 2.9443 acres. About 1.4983 acres are under construction for a convenience store with fuel pumps; the remainder is necessary right-of-way to create a contiguous corporate limit. Staff said the annexation is consistent with the city's 2009 comprehensive plan and would place the annexation area into the city's B (business) zoning district. Planning staff noted the developer requested annexation to obtain additional water estimated at approximately 1,332 gallons per day to construct and operate the convenience store and pumps.
The board moved, seconded and voted to approve, sign and forward the county's comment letter to the City of Westminster; the transcript records the motion carried on a voice vote.
