Colfax County approves Miami fire fill station construction contract pending bond verification

Staff said an earlier bond submission was improper but a corrected performance and payment bond was submitted and that they would verify the bond amount before finalizing signatures. The chairman was authorized to sign the agreement after bond verification.
Commissioner motion to approve the contract with Max Drilling for the Miami Fire Station — pending verification of the bond — was seconded and approved by roll call, with Commissioners Kern and Trujillo and Chairman Tatum voting yes.
The county directed staff to verify the performance/payment bond and then allow the chairman to execute the agreement; staff noted Max Drilling is ready to order equipment once approvals are complete.
