Davyy council approves consent agenda, several ordinance readings and multiple board appointments

The Town of Davyy Council approved routine business and a series of appointments at the meeting following a presentation on the Broward Solid Waste Authority master plan.
The consent agenda was approved unanimously. Council then considered three items requiring public hearings or first readings:
- Capital Improvements Program amendment (Resolution): read by the clerk and adopted by roll call (votes: Mayor Paul — yes; Vice Mayor Whitman — yes; Council members Starky, Lewis and Alonso — yes). The resolution amends the town’s 10‑year capital improvements program for fiscal years 2026–2035.
- Code amendment, first reading (lighting standards; Chapter 12): the council conducted a first reading of an ordinance amending lighting and night‑sky regulations and set the second/public hearing for April 15; the first reading was approved by roll call.
- Comprehensive plan amendment, first reading (water supply facilities work plan): council approved moving the ordinance to a second hearing on April 15 by roll call.
Council also confirmed a slate of board appointments and reappointments during the meeting, each approved by motion and roll call: Angel Delosa (Police Pension Board trustee), multiple planning & zoning reappointments (Jeff Dixon, David Dunzella, Casey Lee, Mike Crowley, Kendy Armas), council appointments Jesse Bastos and Michael Evans, and an appointment to the Agricultural & Environmental Committee (Freda Raj Kumar) where no roll call was required for the individual appointment. Each motion as recorded in the minutes passed.
What this means: The votes moved a series of routine municipal items forward and filled multiple board positions. Several ordinances will return for second readings and public hearings on April 15.
