Seaman encouraged county officials to engage with state administrators to learn how funds will be distributed, noted that some money may be allocated via RFPs and that federally qualified health centers, hospital districts and USDA rural programs may be partners or conduits for local projects. She offered to share contacts and program documentation with county staff and recommended coordination with state-level program managers to identify eligible projects.
Commissioners and county attorney discussed the potential for local applications, and Seaman suggested the county work with local health providers and the state to shape proposals that would build sustainable services in rural areas. No formal action was taken; Seaman provided materials and contact information and requested the county’s follow-up if it wished to pursue grants or technical assistance.
