Board grants conditional approval for Harrison High School cafeteria expansion

The Tippecanoe County Drainage Board approved conditional construction approval for the Harrison High School cafeteria and associated athletic-area improvements.
Karen Collins of Civil and Environmental Consultants told the board the project at 5701 North 50 West in West Lafayette will expand the existing cafeteria, replace visitor and home grandstands, add a concessions and ticket booth, replace a sanitary lift station and install a small dry detention basin to manage new impervious area. She said the school property totals about 75 acres and the disturbance for this project is about six acres.
County reviewers concluded the project fits the site master plan and recommended conditional approval as described in the March 25 review memo. A board member moved to grant conditional approval and the motion passed with no public comment.
The board noted that site-specific permits and construction coordination will follow the conditional approval.
