Residents press Neenah council to speed paving in new subdivisions

"Waiting until 2031 or 2032 does not reflect the current conditions residents are dealing with right now," Heather Jolinsky told the council, describing standing water, large potholes and mud that she said damages vehicles and prevents children from safely riding bikes. "Weare not asking for anything extra. We are asking for roads that are usable and appropriate for a neighborhood of this size."
Why it matters: residents said more than 100 homes in Freedom Meadows and adjacent phases are affected, and that the practical and financial burden has fallen on homeowners who said they now pay full property taxes while living with unpaved streets.
