School foundation reports $69,000 in corporate sponsorships and readies May golf tournament

The school foundation reported that corporate sponsorships have brought in $69,000 so far and described plans to display donor banners and run raffles around its upcoming golf tournament, members said at the foundation’s final meeting of the year.

The chair said the sponsorship total provides a steady baseline of revenue and praised members for recruiting new corporate partners. "So far we've got $69,000 in corporate sponsorships, which is fantastic," the chair said, adding that some companies were not yet confirmed on draft banners and staff have been asked to follow up.

Board members discussed logistics for the May 21 golf tournament, including team registrations, morning and afternoon waves, double-up sponsorships on holes and volunteer sign-ups. They debated raffle prize strategies — from televisions to e-bikes — and agreed larger, high-ticket items would be better targeted to the fall event if sourcing time is short.

Members also reviewed vendor outreach and in-kind donations, naming potential partners such as local caterers and car dealers and noting that some long-time contributors may consider their current support sufficient and decline additional involvement. The chair asked members to continue outreach and encouraged volunteers to sign up through the provided registration link.

The foundation emphasized that the district serves as the foundation’s fiscal agent and that corporate sponsorships and tournament revenue help fund scholarships, concert clinicians and teacher project requests. Organizers said remaining teacher requests for the current cycle total roughly "a couple thousand" and will be allocated as funds are reconciled.

The foundation plans to finalize banners and public recognition once sponsor confirmations are complete and will proceed with the golf-day logistics as scheduled.
