The Municipal Authority recommended and the council approved a $1,619,185 low bid from Core & Main LP for equipment and services tied to the AMI meter improvement project, contingent upon approval by the Oklahoma Water Resources Board at its March 17, 2026 meeting. Staff and project engineers (Wall Engineering) recommended the award; the approval carried on roll call.
At the same meeting the council approved Invoice No. 18 from Crossland Heavy Contractors for $1,745,551.56 for construction of the new wastewater treatment plant. Staff reminded the council that the treatment plant project totals approximately $46 million and that these disbursements represent major equipment and final-stage purchases.
Council members commented that the numbers are large but reflect the scale of the project and noted that these expenses are financed through loan/funding packages already in place. Both motions passed by roll call.
