Planning Board grants final subdivision approval for 63 Watson Mill Road

The Saco Planning Board voted unanimously on March 17 to grant final subdivision approval for a four‑lot residential subdivision and a 116‑foot private way extension at 63 Watson Mill Road.

Austin Fagen of BH2M, representing VCJ Properties, told the board the project had received prior site plan approval and that a linear treatment waiver (treating 75% of stormwater in the roadway and using a lower threshold than the ordinance) had been approved at the site plan stage. "We're now looking at the four lot subdivision that's associated with the private way," Fagen said.

Staff noted that a waiver carried through from the preliminary approvals; the board opened and closed the public hearing with no members of the public speaking. The board then edited findings and conditions to reflect letters and clarifications received, voted to grant the requested waiver pursuant to section 188‑803A, and approved the final subdivision. Motions to adopt findings, grant the waiver and grant final approval were moved and seconded in the meeting record; each recorded vote was 5–0.
