County signs proclamation recognizing April as Child Abuse Prevention Month

Jones described a quad-county slate of prevention activities, including a free family resource fair and concert at the Burlington Mall this Saturday and a Wear Blue Day on April 10. He praised local partners, including the county health department, home-visiting programs, Community Action and faith-based organizations, and said the events aim to connect families with services and raise awareness.
The board thanked Jones for the work and asked staff to distribute event information to county contacts.
