County approves lake committee purchases, accepts mowing contract and adopts volunteer SOP

Saxton asked the commission to approve a purchase order to Capital View Masonry LLC for the full amount; the motion passed 3-0.
Saxton also presented bids for mowing the lake grounds; the committee recommended David Spilman at $900 per month (two visits) for a seasonal total of $8,995. The commission approved the mowing contract and authorized accounts payable to pay invoices as received.
The committee proposed a standard operating procedure (SOP) detailing volunteer safety, performance standards and contractor termination language. County counsel reviewed the SOP and found no legal objections; commissioners approved the SOP 3-0.
Next steps: Staff will issue the PO to Capital View Masonry, finalize the mowing agreement with the vendor and circulate the SOP to relevant departments for implementation.
