The Ashwaubenon Bike and Ped Committee met March 9, 2026, to review the committee's role following adoption of the village's bicycle and pedestrian plan. The meeting was informational; the group did not take formal action on policy changes.
Committee leadership and staff proposed an annual work cycle: first-quarter plan review and grant scoping, second-quarter capital improvement plan (CIP) and budget prioritization, third-quarter project refinement and scope-setting, and fourth-quarter adoption or recommendation of amendments and policy statements to the village board. Staff said this rhythm will help the committee prioritize what to bring forward for board direction and align work with the village's five-year CIP.
Engineering staff and committee members noted that the village already tracks projects in the CIP and a separate five-year strategic plan. Staff proposed producing a quarterly action-item report that summarizes completed tasks, outstanding items and adjustments to project scope so the committee and the public can more easily see what the committee has accomplished and what remains.
Committee members welcomed the emphasis on tracking outputs and using a shorter, more consumable action-item report to show progress.
No motion or vote was required on the agenda item; the chair said the item was informational and the committee will return to the CIP and the action-item reports at future quarterly meetings.
The committee agreed to continue its current chairing arrangement for the near term and to focus its next meeting work on projects that are entering the CIP process.
