"Because of these announcements, we lost our new principal after one year. We've lost multiple staff and also the enrollment is down," Ryan said, urging the district to maintain staffing and upkeep at Alpine Crest until closure is certain. She said community members have received little information about the status of the DuPont project or the YMCA collaboration and asked for transparency about timing.
Board members responded that the district would hold a town hall at Alpine Crest on April 7 at 5:30 p.m. to discuss facilities plans and that the finance committee would share facilities information at an April 6 meeting. The board also confirmed it will include facility updates during its upcoming meetings and encouraged continued community engagement.
District staff did not provide a new construction timeline at the meeting; board members urged residents to attend the upcoming town hall for details and to raise questions about staffing and school maintenance.
