The Chino Valley Unified School District board approved a package of personnel and compensation items the district presented to help retain and recruit staff.
District staff recommended, and the board approved, a $0.50‑per‑hour upward adjustment to the 2026‑27 classified entry salary schedule and a $1,000 increase to the certified entry salary schedule. The board also approved an entry salary schedule for speech‑language pathologists, occupational therapists and physical therapists designed to be regionally competitive, and a classified wage increase to apply district‑wide beginning July 1, 2026.
The board approved contract renewals for returning certified staff (to be issued by March 15, 2026) and approved administrative and director contract renewals incorporating a recommended 2.75% salary increase. The superintendent said the administrative increase would cost roughly $40,000 including employee‑related expenses, partly offset by grant funding for specific positions.
The personnel report approved during the meeting listed seven new certified hires, two new classified hires, nine resignations, one termination, several role changes and one RIF with a district transfer planned. Board members discussed questions about budget impacts and expressed an interest in clear data before future decisions.
