Airport trust approves leases, change orders and bid solicitations; trustees recognize staff work on Freedom OKC FBO lease

Trustees also approved resolutions authorizing the director to submit grant applications to the Federal Aviation Administration for terminal access road rehabilitation and other terminal renovation work.
"This is a large development on the east side of the airport, 18 acres ... Scott Keith has been working on this for many years," a trustee said, recognizing staff who helped finalize the Freedom Aviation lease and thanked the broader staff team for carrying the project "across the finish line." The trustee singled out Scott Keith by name for his long-term efforts on the lease.
The board took similar procedural action for WY Post Airport, approving final acceptance of Phase One demolition and authorizing advertisement for bids for aircraft T-hangars. A land- and lease-focused presenter outlined multiple lease and assignment items for various blocks and lots and an amendment to a Legacy Aviation Services agreement; those items were also approved.
Several maintenance and procurement items were approved, including an amendment for the annual paving repairs contract with Rudy Construction, authorization to advertise for painting repairs and a request for qualifications for program management and project controls for planning and construction management. Trustees then ratified and approved requisition payments as presented.
