Marysville Joint Unified board re-elects Doug Criddle president; officers, meeting calendar approved

Doug Criddle was re-elected president of the Marysville Joint Unified Board of Trustees at the board's annual organizational meeting on Dec. 9, 2025, in a unanimous roll-call vote.
Superintendent Jordan Reeves opened the organization meeting and outlined the nomination and voting procedures required by law. Gary Criddle nominated Doug Criddle for president; with no other nominations the board closed nominations and recorded a 6'0to'00 roll-call vote electing Criddle president for 2026. The board then re-elected the vice president (referred to in the record as "Mr. Steven") and Clerk Doctor Yang by unanimous votes.
The trustees also approved the 2026 regular meeting calendar: meetings will be held in the district office board room on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month beginning at 5:30 p.m. The board appointed the superintendent to serve as board secretary and adopted Resolution 2526-13 delegating authority to specified designees to sign warrants, contracts and other documents.
All motions noted in the organizational business passed unanimously by roll call. Board members present for the votes were Doug Criddle, Seth (Simon), Doctor Yang (Chongyang), Oliver Taylor, Frank Crawford and Gary Criddle. Trustee Stefan Fuhrer was noted as absent.
Next steps: the board will continue routine agenda business and reconfirm committee assignments at subsequent meetings.
