Chair Jones announced a new rules-of-conduct committee to establish meeting conduct rules and said Pat Fulford, head of security, requested the committee be formed.
"This committee will be put together to, establish the rules that the boards will have in place to establish the conduct of people attending their meetings," Chair Jones said, explaining the rules are intended to create a standard three‑strike process and must be posted for public notice.
The commissioners named John Wilkes and Karen Abrams as committee members and Pat Crawford as a nonvoting member. A commissioner moved to approve the appointed members, another commissioner seconded, and the commission approved the appointments by voice vote with no roll-call tally recorded in the transcript.
No timeline for the committee's work was provided; Chair Jones said staff and commissioners would need to convene after appointments are finalized.
