Becky, representing Ride Solutions, told the Greene County commissioners the agency has provided public transportation countywide for 25 years and is seeing growing demand for work and medical trips.
"We're public transportation," Becky said, explaining that Ride Solutions is not a Medicaid provider but often carries patients who are not eligible for Medicaid transport. She said the agency is consolidating trips where feasible to reduce costs and asked the commission for a small increase in support this year because of rising fuel prices: "We just need your support and all to do that."
Becky described challenges in a geographically large county and noted that some trips require door‑to‑door service for riders with medical or mobility needs. Commissioners expressed appreciation for the service and no commissioner voiced opposition during the presentation. The commission did not record a formal vote on the funding request during the meeting; staff follow-up was implied.
