Wood County commissioners approve routine resolutions, void one personnel item

The approved list included a supplemental appropriation authorizing $8,000 for additional work on the Engineer's Highway Garage site study (Resolution 26-00504), authorization to reconcile the employee health benefits trust fund for 2026 (Resolution 26-00508), and authorization of pavement repairs including crack filling, sealcoating and restriping at various county-owned driveways and parking lots (Resolution 26-00509). The listing also included procurement items such as the purchase of a 2026 StarTrans Senator II bus for the Juvenile Residential Center via state contract (Resolution 26-00510). A travel request from Job and Family Services for staff to attend the Crimes Against Children Conference in Dallas, Texas, was submitted and listed for approval.
County Administrator Carri Stanley and Assistant Administrator Dan Scherger reviewed the resolutions with the Commissioners and with attending AP Government students, explaining the county's resolution process and the limitations set by the Ohio Revised Code. The meeting record notes the vote and indicates the minutes and proceedings will be kept on file in the County Commissioners' office and open to public inspection.
