Commissioners approve package of routine resolutions including internet, furniture and water-treatment contracts

The Wood County Board of Commissioners voted March 3 to approve a package of routine resolutions that included new service and purchase agreements for county operations.
At the start of the meeting County Administrator Carri L. Stanley reviewed the resolutions listing. The board approved contracts and administrative items that included: an agreement with TeleSystem for internet service at the Sheriff’s Office (listed at $950 per month); an agreement with American Interiors for the purchase and installation of furniture for the Common Pleas Court administration area in the amount of $30,504.38; and an agreement with Boilers, Control & Equipment to provide water-treatment product and services for cooling systems at county facilities in the amount of $12,197.00. Stanley also noted resolutions authorizing annual equitable-sharing agreement certification reports for the Sheriff and the Prosecutor and several advance/appropriation transactions for ditch projects.
Commissioner Theodore H. Bowlus moved to approve the resolutions on the attached listing; Commissioner Craig LaHote seconded. The roll call on adoption of the minutes/resolution recorded Commissioner Craig LaHote as absent, Dr. Theodore H. Bowlus voting yes and Doris I. Herringshaw, Ed.D., voting yes. The Clerk attested to the vote. The board later moved and approved adjournment.
The administrator said a small portion of NET Plus transportation services for medical appointments (provided through the Department of Job & Family Services) is paid from the county general fund. No additional out-of-state travel requests were submitted at the session.
Next procedural steps: the commissioners recorded the proceedings in the minutes and the approved resolutions will be kept on file in the Commissioners’ office for public inspection.
