The Mackinac County Board of Commissioners unanimously approved the county's annual Equalization report during a public hearing on April 21, 2026, at the Annex Boardroom in St. Ignace.
The report was presented and the Equalization Director appeared by speaker phone to answer questions. Commissioner Daryl Schroeder moved to approve the report as presented; Commissioner Judy St. Louis-Scott seconded the motion. A roll-call vote recorded yes votes from Austin Kimberling, John Kling, Mike Patrick, Daryl Schroeder and Judy St. Louis-Scott; there were no votes against the motion.
The hearing opened at 4:15 p.m. with Chair Mike Patrick presiding and a Pledge of Allegiance. After routine business, including approval of the meeting agenda, the board heard the Equalization presentation and approved the report. The public comment period was noted as having no speakers.
County Clerk Hillary Vowell recorded the proceedings and the public hearing was adjourned at 4:24 p.m.
