At its meeting called to order at 9:02 a.m., the Henderson County Commissioners Court took the following formal actions (all approvals were unanimous unless noted):
- Approve minutes from the 04/28/2026 meeting: motion made and passed unanimously. - Resolution: approved a resolution requesting Henderson County membership in the Northeast Texas Regional Mobility Authority; county to forward application to member counties and, if appropriate, TxDOT for final action. - Terracon Consultants (County Road 1504): approved a special road-use indemnity agreement for soil sampling and a right-of-way permit for work along County Road 1504 in Precinct 1, with authorization for the commissioners to sign. - Speed limit public hearing: set a public hearing to consider setting a 30 mph speed limit on County Road 3823 for 05/19/2026 at 9:05 a.m. - Payment of bills: the clerk (referred to in the meeting as Miss Carpenter) read a figure of $321,533.89; a motion to approve the bills in the amount of $325,533.89 was moved and seconded and the court approved payment. (Transcript records both figures; the motion recorded $325,533.89 — see Audit for discrepancy.) - Plats: The court approved final replats for Hidden Hills Harbor (section C) and Cherokee Shores (create Lot 78R) for filing purposes only. The final plat for Goodell Ranch (three lots) was not approved; a motion to accept the plat for filing purposes died for lack of a second after debate about a groundwater-study waiver. - Adjourned at 9:31 a.m.
