Students showcase construction project and kid-focused community website at board meeting

Two student-led presentations opened the board meeting.
Construction technology students Colt Bugay (a junior) and Brady Seider (a senior) demonstrated a class-built wiring board that simulated breakers, switches and junction boxes, described tools and safety practices, and said the trades offer well-paying, durable career options. "Not only is it a good trade to go into, it pays very well, and it's always gonna be here," one student said while describing how practical skills can save homeowners money.
In a separate presentation, Mrs. Saxman and members of the Beyond the Burrow club (including Bethany Leslie and Sohrab Barb) unveiled a student-designed website aimed at visitors with children, featuring kid-focused recommendations for places to eat, things to do and Groundhog Day attractions. Students researched phone numbers, addresses and provided short reviews; board members discussed linking the site to the Chamber of Commerce and the district web pages.
Board members commended the students'work and invited the club to present at the Chamber; administrators confirmed they will coordinate website linking and community outreach.
