Oldham County clerk: absentee deadline tonight, early voting schedule announced

Oldham County Clerk Amy Alvey told the Fiscal Court May 5 that the deadline to request an absentee ballot through the state portal was midnight that day and reviewed the county’s early/no-excuse voting schedule and locations.
"Today is the last day that you can request an absentee ballot," Alvey said, noting the state portal closes at midnight. She outlined in-person no-excuse and excused-voting dates in the clerk’s office and listed 3-day no-excuse voting at John Black Community Center and Crestwood Baptist Church, with hours for each day and election-day polling locations open 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Alvey also said the caregiver provision allows a caregiver to deliver a ballot and that election officers and people with specified work schedules have separate absentee options. She provided the county voter-registration office phone number for questions.
The court did not vote on election administration matters during the presentation; Alvey’s remarks were informational and intended for voters and local officials.
