Board hears update on jail population; officials report intercounty housing arrangements

Supervisor Beam reported there were 62 inmates in custody: 40 were held in Saunders County, 16 in Washington County, 1 in Douglas County, 3 with the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services and 2 at the Lincoln Regional Center.
County Attorney Hopkins told the board she and the sheriff have met with Saunders County regarding Dodge County inmate housing and said the two counties are making good progress on arrangements. The board convened as the Board of Corrections at 9:05 A.M. and adjourned that panel at 9:06 A.M., reconvening immediately as the Board of Supervisors.
