Butte-Silver Bow Parks & Recreation issued a request for proposals March 6 for improvements at Basin Creek Park, with submissions due March 20, board members were told March 9.
Director Shawn Fredrickson said logging work at the site is ongoing and will conclude soon. He told the board the park improvements will be funded, in part, by a $735,000 grant from the Natural Resource Damage Program (BNRC — Butte Area One funds). Fredrickson emphasized that the grant funds apply to park improvements only.
The board did not discuss final scopes or contractor selections at the meeting; staff said the RFP process will determine respondents and potential work scopes. The item was included on the agenda as an amended item after the RFP was issued.
Submissions for the RFP are due March 20; the board did not set a date for reviewing proposals at the March 9 meeting.
