The Butte-Silver Bow Parks & Recreation Board voted March 9 to move a shared checking account used by Highland View and Ridge Waters from First Citizens Bank to Citizens Alliance Bank after First Citizens was acquired by Frontier Credit Union.
Shawn Fredrickson, director of BSB Parks & Recreation, told the board the move would help ensure transactions “flow correctly” and provide convenience because Citizens Alliance has a local branch on Dewey Boulevard. Vice-Chair Cathy Tutty called for a motion; member Ristene Hall moved to approve the transfer and Anthony Laslovich seconded. The motion carried unanimously.
The board did not specify an exact transfer date at the meeting. Staff were directed to complete the administrative steps to move the account and coordinate with Finance as needed.
The action followed discussion of the bank acquisition earlier in the director’s report. The agenda item closed with the formal vote; no public comment was recorded on the matter.
