The planning commission recommended city council approve two mandatory-referral requests to abandon and relocate portions of sanitary sewer easements so proposed building footprints can be constructed as shown on approved site plans.
Staff (Blomley) said Murfreesboro Water Resources Board previously recommended approval for both the Vintage Exchange (TBK; Maple Grove Drive) and the World Outreach Church (New Salem Highway) easement relocations, and that approvals are contingent on the applicant providing the legal documentation required for the legal department to prepare and record the necessary instruments. Staff asked the commission to forward recommendations to council with standard conditions including applicant responsibility for recording and paying recording fees.
Commissioners moved and seconded recommendations for both abandonments; both motions passed on roll-call votes. Staff will prepare the transmittals to city council and the legal department will complete document review and recording procedures.
