The Fox River Grove Board of Trustees approved its consent agenda during a May 6 meeting at the Municipal Center, and Village President Marc McLaughlin administered the oath of office to newly elected Trustee David Joseph.
The consent agenda—approved by motion of Trustee Devin Hester and seconded by Trustee Andrew Migdal—covered six items: approval of the April 22 board and executive-session minutes; accounts payable for May 6; the March 2025 treasurer’s report; the appointment of Patrick Riley to the Planning & Zoning Commission; an employment agreement for the Village Administrator; and a waiver of the bid process to authorize a contract for Bayview Drainage Improvements. The roll-call vote recorded Trustees Hester, Joseph, Knar, Migdal and Wall as voting “yes,” and the motion passed.
Trustee Devin Hester asked for clarification about passthrough payments listed in accounts payable to Barrington School District 220 and the Barrington Area Library. Administrator Soderholm explained that impact fees from the Redwood development are being paid in full now that Redwood has reached occupancy.
The swearing-in of David Joseph followed roll call and the consent vote. The board did not record any public comments during the meeting’s public-comment period.
The board recessed to executive session at 7:20 p.m. to discuss property purchase and sale, pending and imminent litigation, and personnel, and later reconvened and adjourned at 8:04 p.m.
