Weiser Ambulance District approves expenses; proposed levy 'moving forward'

Washington County commissioners convened as the Weiser Ambulance District on April 20 to review finances and operations.
Ambulance District Director Alan Foster reported that plumbing repairs were underway at the facility and said the proposed levy intended to sustain district services is "moving forward in a positive way." Board members asked questions about what the levy would fund. Administrative Assistant Claudia Licht presented the March Columbia Bank statement and an updated cash-flow chart.
The Board approved general expenses (Order No. 26-28) totaling $13,812.24 (motion by Jim Harberd, seconded by Gordon Wilkerson) and payroll expenses (Order No. 26-27) totaling $23,886.42 (motion by Jim Harberd, seconded by Nate Marvin). The ambulance district budget hearing was scheduled for Aug. 24, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. in the Commissioner Meeting Room.
