County schedules Seid Creek hearing, approves a right‑of‑way permit and orders weed‑facility repairs

Road and Bridge/Solid Waste Supervisor Jerod Odoms told the Board on April 20 he will notify adjoining landowners and utilities about a public hearing to validate Seid Creek Road set for May 11, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. in the Commissioners' meeting room.
Odoms also presented a right-of-way application from Daves Project Management for lot #43 on Delicious Street; the Board approved the permit (motion by Commissioner Jim Harberd, seconded by Commissioner Gordon Wilkerson; motion carried). Odoms said a second application did not meet county standards because a third access was not allowable and he will follow up with the landowner.
Bonnie Davis, Weed Superintendent, with Building and Grounds Supervisor Cesar Carbajal reported the roof on the Noxious Weed facility required reattaching screws; Carbajal obtained a quote to replace existing screws with larger fasteners with an estimated cost of $480.00. The Board instructed staff to make the repairs.
The Board also discussed the road-grader lease agreement and requested additional review time before making a decision.
Next steps: staff will publish and mail notices for the Seid Creek validation hearing, Jerod Odoms will follow up on the denied permit application, and Building and Grounds will proceed with the Noxious Weed facility repairs.
